On Saturday the 29th of October, over 200 guests joined Unlock Liverpool at The Joker’s Crypt.
Waiting to escort their victims down into The Crypt, The Joker himself, and his psychotic girlfriend Harley Quinn playfully teased the crowd outside.
Jake and Becca AKA The Joker & Harley are together ‘Mad Love Cosplay’. They told Unlock Liverpool, “We are huge fans of the Batman franchise and have been since we were both little kids, watching the animated series. Our love for the characters has only grown stronger each year. We were really excited to work with Unlock Liverpool, after being asked to play the role of The Joker and Harley Quinn for their Halloween event. It gave us the chance to play out some of our favourite scenes from the movie-Suicide Squad. It was great seeing people’s reaction to The Joker and Harley on the night and this event is one of the best we’ve ever been too! We can’t wait for another night of madness when The Joker’s Crypt returns!”

At around 11pm, the beautiful and talented Marguerite Slane treated us to an incredible Harley Quinn inspired burlesque performance. Marguerite told Unlock Liverpool, ‘As I teach burlesque, I often go by the name of Miss Tiger Rose. I got involved with The Joker’s Crypt as coming from a dance and theatre background, I love everything theatrical. The vision that Unlock Liverpool had for the night was just amazing, so I jumped at the chance to be part of the event! I loved creating and playing the cheeky, sexy comical character of Harley Quinn and bringing her naughty side to life in my Daddy’s Little Monster performance. The night was a huge success from the moment guests arrived, they were greeted by the Joker himself and the beautiful fun sugar dipped lollipop of craziness that was Harley Quinn handing out treats with her cute evil smirk. Tables full of treats candy floss poison candy apples amazing cocktails. I am now taking on more people for my burlesque chair fitness classes over in the Wirral ( soon to be expanding to Liverpool) so if you fancy trying out your moves, be sure to get in touch with me on Facebook.”
Later in the night the event was gatecrashed by double act Batman and Ironman. They told Unlock Liverpool, ‘We are Hire a Hero Mascots and we offer high-grade mascots and characters for parties and events. When approached about this event we were excited that somebody was creating such an exciting themed event in Liverpool, so were thrilled to be involved. Between the amazing organisers and the many wonderful people who took part on the night we couldn’t have asked for a better Halloween event to be a part of. We can’t wait to hear about any future events they may have!”
