Liverpool’s Christmas theatre season is already shaping up to be a big one, as Coronation Street star Ryan Mulvey has been announced for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at The Epstein Theatre.
The festive family pantomime will run at the Hanover Street theatre from Saturday 5 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, with tickets priced from £13.
Presented by Regal Entertainments Ltd, the production promises laugh-out-loud comedy, dazzling costumes, special effects and plenty of festive magic for families visiting Liverpool city centre this Christmas.
Ryan Mulvey to star as Prince Fredrick
Ryan Mulvey will play Prince Fredrick in the production, marking his stage debut.
The Altrincham-born actor studied at TMC Performing Arts in Manchester before landing the role of JJ Osborne in Hollyoaks.
Since then, Ryan has appeared on screens as Brody Michaelis in Coronation Street, earning praise from soap fans and nominations including Best Newcomer and Best Young Performer at the Inside Soap Awards, as well as a nomination for Best Soap Villain at the I Talk Telly Awards.
Speaking about joining the Epstein Theatre panto, Ryan said: “I couldn’t be more excited to perform in Liverpool this Christmas, I have heard amazing things about Regal Entertainments pantos and the historic Epstein Theatre. Performing there will be the perfect way to spend the festive season. I can’t wait to share laughter, magic, and happy memories with everyone. It’s going to be truly special!”
Leanne Campbell returns as the Magic Mirror
Liverpool favourite Leanne Campbell will also appear in person as the Magic Mirror.
Leanne is well known to local audiences through theatre, radio and television, with a stage career that began when she was just 10. Her early roles included Annie at the Liverpool Playhouse and an award-winning performance as young Helen in Twopence to Cross the Mersey.
She has since appeared in productions including Me and My Girl, Carousel, The Sound of Music, Scrooge, The Salon, The Salon – The Sequel!, Achy Breaky Bride and The Rocky Horror Show at Liverpool Playhouse.
Leanne also wrote and starred in the comedy play Pete Price is Dead at Liverpool’s Royal Court in 2020, and has become a familiar festive face through numerous pantomime appearances, including five years at the Liverpool Empire.
What is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs about?
When the Magic Mirror declares Snow White the fairest of them all, the Wicked Queen’s jealousy sparks an evil plan.
Determined to reclaim her title, the Queen orders the young princess’s demise. But Snow White escapes into the deep, dark forbidden forest, where she finds shelter in a strange cottage belonging to some very unusual characters.
The Wicked Queen, however, is not finished. With a poisoned red apple and revenge in mind, she sets out to make sure Snow White is gone forever.
Meanwhile, Prince Fredrick is searching for his perfect bride. With a little help from Muddles and Nurse Nelly, true love may still win the day.
Expect all the classic panto ingredients: big characters, family comedy, audience participation, colourful costumes, festive fun and a magical story for all ages.

Panto director Chantelle Joseph said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to announce Ryan Mulvey is making his panto debut with us at the Epstein Theatre this Christmas. He’s a young actor who brings dynamic energy and versatility to all his performances and I know Liverpool audiences are going to absolutely love him when he appears as Prince Fredrick.
