Liverpool’s Superlambanana Tours Around South America

Superlambanana

You might recognise the unlikely travel companion of Mark McAnulty. This little guy has been taking selfies a very long way from home.

Mark, a former student of Liverpool University, discovered an undeclared item in his rucksack on the first leg of his South American adventure back in February 2016. Since then, Mark has taken the mischievous Superlambanana under his wing and has gladfully snapped his travel companion at each exotic destination.

Mark tells Unlock Liverpool that many locals and fellow travellers have been taking a lot of interest in the scouse icon and have been fascinated by his story. He said ‘The Superlambanana snook into my backpack and he’s become my official travel buddy ? It’s crazy how immediately popular he becomes out here! Everyone loves him and people are fascinated by his story, even if they are initially bemused by his make-up.’

Making an impact in the bay of Rio de Janeiro, Cristo Redemptor, Iguazu Falls (border of Brazil/Argentina), Torres del Paine (Chilean Patagonia), Perito Moreno Glacier (Argentina), Salt Flats (Bolivia) and even Machu Picchu (Peru), the little globe trotter loves the attention.

If you happen to become a victim of the mischievous antics of a Superlambanana make sure you send it in to @UnlockLiverpool so we can track their adventures around the world.
