HMS Prince of Wales Comes to Liverpool 2020
Visitors will be able to step on board the HMS Prince of Wales from the 28th of February 2020 in Liverpool. This will be the first time that the public will be able to step on-board the warship and aircraft carrier.
On Saturday 29th February and Sunday 1st March 2020, you can set sail on a special viewing cruise to see the HMS Prince of Wales war ship as it docks in Liverpool.
The cruise will offer locals and tourists alike, unparalleled views of the warship, one of the most powerful warships ever constructed in the UK. 70 metres wide and 280 metres long, this aircraft carrier could comfortably fit three football pitches on-board.
This special cruise will include a Blue Badge Guide, who will provide live expert commentary about the unique history of the River Mersey and the war ship.
On Sunday 1st March 2020, a special viewing cruise will take place to celebrate the arrival of the warship. This cruise will depart from three different locations across the River Mersey and take guests of a 2-hour tour of Liverpool’s beautiful waterfront. Along with the on-board guide, there will also be live music from local artists.
