The Unlock Liverpool team were invited to try The Pheasant Liverpool’s new festive menu which includes both classic Christmas dishes and festive cocktails to warm you from the inside out during this cold time of year.
The beauty of The Pheasant Liverpool is it’s stunning location. You can sit back and relax, watching the sun set over the countryside with a glass of red in hand. A firm favourite among local families, this is a gorgeous setting for a family meal or a romantic evening date night.
For this festive time of year, this gorgeous country pub and restaurant has been transformed, with a huge Christmas tree, roaring open fire and festive decorations for the tables. The menu has also been adorned with a touch of the holiday spirit and we enjoyed three courses of indulgent and delicious Christmas food.

Starters:
Roasted tomato soup

Duck liver and port parfait

Main dishes:
Roasted turkey with fluffy beef-dripping roasted potatoes, a honey mustard duvet and pork and clementine stuffing. Served with red wine gravy and bread sauce.
Salmon fillet and a smoky mussel cream sauce with baby potatoes, samphire spinach and charred red pepper.
Maple pork belly and pig cheek on Dijon chive mash, cavolo nero, crisp prosciutto and a red wine and sage jus
Prime beef burger with smoked Irish cheddar, lettuce, tomato, burger sauce and fries, served in a sesame seeded bun with a gerkin on the side
10OZ Rib-eye steak served with twice cooked chunky chips, roasted mushroom, confit tomato and parsley butter
8OZ Rump steak served with twice cooked chunky chips, roasted mushroom, confit tomato and parsley butter
Desserts:
Christmas pudding filled with vine fruits, almonds and rum served with brandy sauce.
Caramel Creme Brulee served with home-baked sultana and oatmeal biscuits
Apple and plum crumble topped with demerara sugar crumb, served with custard or with a soya vanilla custard
Indulgent warm chocolate brownie with Belgian chocolate sauce. honeycomb ice cream and a brandy snap crumb
Blackcurrant mouse on a biscuit base, served with crushed mango and fresh strawberries
