A Grand Setting in the Heart of Liverpool
Housed in the former Bank of Liverpool building, The Ivy Liverpool Brasserie is one of the city’s most spectacular dining spaces. The grand architecture, with its tall arched windows and ornate detailing, makes an immediate impression as you arrive on Castle Street. Step through the doors, and you’re greeted by a blend of classic glamour and modern sophistication; think statement lighting, plush velvet seating, and art-deco touches that feel effortlessly festive.

During the Christmas season, the restaurant glows with warmth and sparkle. From glittering baubles to flickering candles, every table and corner feels designed for celebration. Whether it’s Christmas lunch with family, cocktails after work, or a private festive gathering, The Ivy Liverpool Brasserie sets the perfect scene.
Elegant Interiors and a Warm Welcome
Inside, you’ll find a space that’s both luxurious and inviting. Each room flows beautifully into the next, with jewel-toned décor, mirrored walls, and golden accents that catch the light. The main dining room buzzes with an energy that’s both relaxed and refined; perfect for long lunches or indulgent dinners.
The front-of-house team are a true highlight. Polished, attentive, and genuinely friendly, they add a touch of charm to the entire experience. It’s clear from the moment you’re seated that exceptional service is at the heart of The Ivy’s reputation.
Our Festive Dining Experience
We had the pleasure of visiting last week, and our evening began with a non-alcoholic mocktail and a non-alcoholic beer, beautifully chilled and served in a frozen glass for that crisp, refreshing taste.
Starters to Savour
To start, we shared a selection of Truffle Arancini Rice Balls, golden and perfectly crispy, and a bowl of marinated Nocellara Olives. Next came the Whipped Feta, Fig and Candied Pecan Salad, a dish that strikes the perfect balance between sweet and savoury, finished with red chicory, truffle vinaigrette, and fresh herbs.
For something truly indulgent, the Roasted Queen Scallops are not to be missed. Served with creamed spinach, truffle and Parmesan emulsion, pine nut pangrattato, potato puffs, and Greek cress, this dish is a work of art both in taste and presentation.
Main Courses
The Traditional Fish and Chips was everything a classic should be, flaky white fish encased in The Ivy’s signature 1917 batter, served with mushy peas, thick-cut chips, and a rich caper tartare sauce.
Meanwhile, the Sirloin Steak (8oz/227g) was cooked to perfection, hand-selected and aged for 21 days, it was beautifully tender and paired wonderfully with Truffle and Parmesan Chips and Tenderstem Broccoli.
The Sweet Finale
Dessert at The Ivy is an experience all on its own. The Ivy Chocolate Bombe is pure theatre, a glossy chocolate sphere that melts under a cascade of warm caramel sauce to reveal vanilla ice cream and honeycomb inside. For something more classic, the Crème Brûlée delivers a perfectly caramelised crust over silky vanilla custard, a flawless finish to a truly memorable meal.
