Bongo’s Bingo has recently moved from Camp and Furnace to a new Liverpool venue, Content. Based within Cain’s Brewery Village, Content has hosted all official Bongo’s Bingo events since August and will continue to host Bongo’s Bingo events running up to Christmas and the New Year.
Unlock Liverpool decided to go ahead and check out what the new space was like. Four members of the team confirmed their tickets for Friday’s event featuring special guest Ms Dynamite.
Our team arrived around 7PM, with doors opening at 6:30PM and closing at 7:30PM. We were lucky we had special guest-list tickets and a space reserved, because nearly all of the seats were already taken when we arrived! These events are extremely popular and we suggest if you are attending with a group, that you arrive as early as possible to grab your drinks and ensure seats together. (Doubles were priced around six or seven pounds, whereas a bottle of wine costs you around twenty!)
The atmosphere was incredible – the building was literally buzzing with excitement! Music blared, bar service was fast and people chatted excitedly before Jonny Bongo made his appearance. The crowd went wild as he introduced the event, schedule and prizes available (including Coco Pops, bottles of alcohol, hundreds of pounds in cash and even a mobility scooter!). Attendees everywhere were dancing on the tables in between ruthless games of bingo. The atmosphere intensified with each game that passed and the night ended on a true high with a phenomenal performance from Miss Dynamite. No wonder tickets are so hard to come by!
