Nothing beats a proper Sunday roast in Liverpool — especially when it’s served somewhere as stylish and welcoming as Voyagers Restaurant & Bar. Nestled in Liverpool’s Ropewalks district, Voyagers has launched its new Sunday With Sides menu, and trust us, this isn’t your average pub roast. It’s refined, comforting, and full of little details that make the experience feel extra special.
A Sunday Tradition, Elevated
The Sunday With Sides menu is served every Sunday from £22.50 per main, with sides priced at £6 each. We’d recommend ordering three sides per person — the portions are huge, easily shareable, and each one brings its own burst of flavour.
Think rosemary salt roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese made with Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire cheese, maple-glazed parsnips with pecan crumb, and hispi cabbage with smoked butter and crispy onions. The combinations are endless, and you’ll find yourself wanting to try them all.
Every roast also comes with charred honey-roasted carrots, golden roasties, a Yorkshire pudding, and bottomless gravy — or, if you’re feeling indulgent, go for the bone marrow gravy boat, rich with roasted beef marrow and red wine.
The Perfect Setting For a Sunday Roast in Liverpool
Voyagers strikes that perfect balance between elegant and relaxed. The atmosphere is warm and contemporary, with stylish decor, soft lighting, and an attention to detail that makes every visit feel special. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, with the kind of calm energy that makes you want to linger long after your plate’s cleared.
Accessibility and Parking
Voyagers is also incredibly accessible, making it ideal for guests with mobility issues. The restaurant, bar and bathrooms are all located on the ground floor, meaning no steps or tricky stairs to navigate.
Parking is refreshingly straightforward too — there’s a reasonably priced car park on Duke Street, just a two-minute walk from the restaurant. Alternatively, you can opt for paid on-street parking right outside on Duke Street itself.
Ideal for a Festive Feast
If you’re already thinking ahead to Christmas dinner, Voyagers is a fantastic choice. The setting feels just right for a festive gathering — elegant without being stuffy, and the portions are generous enough to make everyone happy. The variety of mains and sides means there’s something for everyone, from the traditionalist who wants roast beef and Yorkshire puds, to the plant-based diner craving something hearty and seasonal.
Mocktails and Non-Alcoholic Delights
One of the things that really sets Voyagers apart is its incredible mocktail and non-alcoholic drinks selection. It’s rare to see a Liverpool restaurant with such variety — from creative mocktails to non-alcoholic wines that actually taste like the real deal.
We tried the sparkling white non-alcoholic wine, and it was crisp, dry, and absolutely delicious — a perfect match for the rich roast dishes. Whether you’re pregnant, designated driver, or simply cutting back before the festive season, it’s lovely to have such thoughtful options that don’t compromise on taste.
