Easter in Liverpool is an exciting time – there’s a great buzz around the city, the kids are on their holidays, and (dare we say it?) the weather is taking a turn for the better. Great food, fun for the kids, and (of course) Easter egg hunts – we’re going to take a look at things to do in Liverpool and the surrounding area this Easter.
Easter Egg Hunts Liverpool
Speke Hall (National Trust)
Liverpool events aren’t restricted to the city. This gorgeous green escape on the edge of Liverpool has a nature trail-inspired Easter egg hunt for the whole family to enjoy. Running between 11-18 April and costing just £3, the hunt includes a trail map, pencil, and a chocolate egg at the end, and will give you and the kids an opportunity to explore the beautiful garden and woodland of Speke Hall. Find out more here.
Delamere Forest
The annual Delamere Forest Easter Hunt is one of the best things to do in Liverpool on Easter. This self-led hunt around the forest will keep the kids busy as they search for wooden eggs left by the Easter Bunny. Each egg contains a puzzle to solve, but don’t worry there’s plenty of chocolate at the finish line!
Family Fun
Easter Wonderland
Easter in Liverpool has got a touch of fantasy this year with the Easter Wonderland event at Otterspool Adventure Centre. This Liverpool event is sure to be a hit for young families and has all sorts of Easter fun lined up, including an Easter Parade, a Spring Farm (with chicks, bunnies, ducks and lambs), and an Adventures of Alice Show, and the Easter Bunny himself!
Easter Intrepids
If your youngsters are animal fans and want to take a walk on the wild side this Easter in Liverpool, then Knowsley Safari in Prescot is the place to be. Their Easter Intrepid Explorers day event is open to 8–10-year-olds and will provide them with heaps of Easter fun as well as a tour of the safari and a ride on the baboon bus! There’s also room for creativity – participants will be making an Easter treat for one of the animals, as well as crafting their own Easter gift to take home with them. The event will be running on the 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th of April – follow this link to book tickets.
What’s On In Liverpool For Foodies
If Easter in Liverpool has got you in the mood for chocolate then why not pay a visit to the Chocolate Cellar in the Wirral, an award-winning luxury chocolaterie. We all know how unreliable the British weather is, so if you’re looking to huddle up somewhere nice with a hot chocolate then look no further!
All this Easter activity is going to work up an appetite. If you’re looking for somewhere great for the family to eat in Liverpool then we recommend the Park Hotel, who are putting on a three-course Easter Lunch with children’s entertainment and a mini disco on Easter Sunday. What’s on the menu? Amazing food and fun for all the family! Find out more here.
