Bat Walk & Talk at Calderstones Park

The first event is Bat Walk & Talk, taking place at Calderstones Park on Friday 10 July 2026 at 9.30pm.

The evening will give guests the chance to explore the park after dark and look for bats and other nocturnal wildlife. It is a great opportunity to learn more about these often misunderstood creatures, how they live, why they matter and what people can do to help protect them.

As the sun sets over Calderstones Park, the walk will offer a completely different way to experience one of Liverpool’s best-known parks. Visitors are advised to bring torches and dress appropriately for an outdoor evening walk.

The event is not suitable for children under five.

Foraging & Folklore Walk

Later in the month, Greene Fox Ltd will host a Foraging & Folklore Walk at Calderstones Park.

The walk takes place on Thursday 23 July 2026, starting at 6.30pm, with the meeting point listed as Calderstones Park, Calderstones Road end.

This summer stroll will introduce guests to the plants growing around them, exploring their traditional uses, seasonal interest and the folklore connected to them.

It is ideal for anyone who enjoys nature, storytelling, local history, food heritage or simply wants to see Calderstones Park in a new way.

Expect a relaxed, informative walk with plenty of chances to ask questions and learn about the everyday plants that often go unnoticed.
