This winter, the Liverpool Ice Festival returns to the city for the fourth year, transforming the Pier Head into an enchanting winter wonderland. Open from 13 November 2019 –5 January 2020.
The iconic waterfront location will be dramatically transformed for the season, packed with family – friendly attractions including a large ice rink, ice-themed rides, a festive funfair and plenty of delicious food stalls to enjoy.
Tickets to the Liverpool Ice Festival 2019 are priced at £12 for adults and £10 for children aged between 3 and 12 years old. Family tickets based on two adults and two children or one adult and three children are £40. Ice slide tickets are £6 for three rides. Groups of ten or more receive a discount of 10 per cent on advertised individual ticket prices.
A booking fee of £1.20 applies per ticket. Tickets can be purchased online.
The large outdoor ice rink returns to the Pier Head venue complete with a canopy for skating whatever the weather from November through to January 2020 and is open from 10am to 9pm daily. Due to popular demand last year, the availability of penguin skate aids has been doubled and are available to book online. Guests can enjoy ice-skating, the UK’s longest ice slide with three, 30-metre-long slides for an exhilarating ride and panoramic views of the iconic Three Graces and a wonderfully festive day or night out in Liverpool.
The Ice Jet ride–a firm favourite with visitors last year–is set to make its third appearance at the event, complete with a sound and light show as part of the immersive encounter to entertain the thrill seekers in the family. A fun day out for all, the pop-up food and drink stalls complete the experience, selling a variety of seasonal treats including traditional German bratwurst, mulled wine and hot chocolate.
Special events and offers will take place throughout the season. These include buy one get one free tickets for students during November off-peak skating,sessions, plus 25 per cent off admission for Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day for those who wear a Christmas sweater on 13 December 2019.
