Now the sun is back, we’re ready to make the most of it, and what better way than a weekend in the sunshine? Pack your weekend full of fun for everyone with family friendly activities, music, food and drinks (to sneak off and have while the children aren’t looking).
This year, Sefton Park welcomes back Liverpool Spring Festival and it is set to be better and bigger than ever! On the 28th and 29th of April, the park will be be transformed into a land of adventure, packed with fun for all ages!
This year’s nature and wildlife theme means both young and old animal lovers can get involved with a pop-up farm, getting up close to guinea pigs, rabbits and ferrets, as well as being able to bot-tle feed baby lambs and goats or even opt for a donkey ride! And, for anyone with a competitive streak, you can get involved with a cow milking challenge with Daisy, Stockley Farm’s very own wooden cow!
Guaranteeing tears of laughter, a sheep show is set to take place as nine different breeds of sheep will appear on stage with their different theme tunes. making sure you’re keeping the kids brains working, they’ll then have the opportunity to learn about the different breeds of sheep, the wool they produce and watch the sheep actually get sheared. It’s like Babe in live action!
If you’re after something a little more chilled out, we strongly recommend sinking into a weekend of health and wellbeing workshops. Practice yoga, meditation, relaxation and focus on yourself whilst knowing that the kids are happy and occupied with baby lambs elsewhere. You deserve it.
