Liverpool Welcomes Cocktails in the City

Liverpool loves a cocktail. Fact. And next weekend, Cocktails in the City is coming to town, to fulfil all of our cocktail needs and more, in none other than our fantastic St George’s Hall. So who’s coming?

The all singing, all dancing cocktail spectacular will be taking place on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October showcasing some of the nations favourite cocktails, as well as brand new, weird and wonderful creations for you to try. The event is the UK’s leading cocktail festival and prides itself in delivering the best in cocktail creativity showcasing what is essentially a gigantic pop up cocktail bar with speakeasies, members bars, party bars and glamorous institutions that have all come together to celebrate the diversity of Liverpool’s cocktail scene. From the Albert Docks to The Baltic Triangle and on to popular Seel Street all in just a few short sips, guests are invited to get shoulder-to-shoulder with the city’s leading bartenders to celebrate the craft of the cocktail.

Event-goers will be travel through time with the guidance of cocktail professionals, from the decadent Belle Epoque period of the late 1800’s through prohibition, retro cocktails and modern drinks. Some of Liverpool’s best known cocktail bars will be participating in the event including Berry and Rye, 81 LTD, Filter and Fox and The Alchemist – meaning standard and creativity will be high!

Guests will also be able to enjoy a new immersive drinks experience at Cocktails in the City. The Tasting Rooms hosted in partnership with leading online drinks retailer 31Dover.com, is a 30-minute intimate series of tasting sessions with three craft producers in a private setting. Additional experiences also include interactive Espresso Martini masterclasses with Tia Maria and The Coffee Project, and foraged cocktails with The Botanist Gin.
