Manchester Eats Food Festival

Who doesn’t love sitting in the sun and sampling food from some of the best, most delicious food suppliers in the UK? Well, this weekend you can as the exciting Manchester Eats comes to the lovely Heaton park to provide hungry guests with culinary delights of all different shapes, sizes and tastes. This year, it’s set to be better than ever with five incredible chefs joining the festival’s inaugural line up to present us with some delicious, sophisticated and creative cuisine. The festival is taking place next weekend (7th and 8th July) and what better place to host food festival than the city known by many as the food capital of the North?

Not only will there be amazing food stalls to take your fancy, they’ll also be a ‘Celebrity Chef Theatre’ where Saturday Kitchen’s very own Matt Tebbutt will be setting up camp with none other than Marco Pierre White. The chefs will show guests the ropes when it comes to cooking up a storm in the kitchen with their highly anticipated cooking demonstrations and you will also get the opportunity to expand your gastronomic knowledge with Q&A sessions happening throughout the event. Not only will great food be offer, guests will be celebrating the weekend with a drink or two, including some amazing craft beer. Other celebrity chefs making an appearance over the two days will be Mary-Ellen McTague and Ed Baines. The festival is a really great opportunity for visitors and chefs alike to celebrate the vibrant, ever developing food and drink scene.

Access to celebrity chef’s tents will be included in the ticket price and if you’re visiting with the kids they’ll be plenty of fun and interactive activities for them too in the Children’s village. If you fancy a boogie, live DJ sets will be entertaining the crowds on both days as well.

More and more exciting names are being added to the festival’s exhibitor list as the event draws closer and so far names such as Cottonpolis, Proove Pizza, Manchester Gin and Revolution as well as a Prosecco bar – bound to catch the eye of many. It’s set to be a great weekend and with the weather looking like it’s here to stay a while longer, you’d be a fool to miss out!
