In case you didn’t know, Thursday is officially Liverpool’s new Friday, with everyone’s favourite Neighbourhood restaurant bringing a huge new deal to town. Introducing: #NOTGOINGHOME, the brand new bottomless drinks and small plate service for just £30 per person. We were invited to try it out for ourselves.
For those that have been to Neighbourhood before, there’s no denying it is every inch the party palace. From chandeliers to plush pink velvet booths, marble, and even personalised prosecco flutes, the place really is absolutely perfect for a special occasion. We arrived for our booking and were seated in the restaurant area of the bar. The menu works by allowing 1.5 hours for totally bottomless drinks. You can choose from prosecco, the house cocktail, beer or soft drinks or mix and match as you go. The house cocktail was a strawberry gin punch so between this and prosecco – we were sorted.
After around 40 minutes of enjoying bottomless drinks, we were served our food. The small menu consists of a varied option of small plates (meat of vegetarian) plus a pot of truffle fries (YES please) each. We ordered a wide selection of food including the popcorn prawns with a kimchi mayonnaise, mini beef sliders, gooey cheese fritters, cheese dogs and chicken lollipops, which went down a treat after 40 minutes of bottomless drinking.
All of the food was cooked to a high standard and the portion sizes were just the right amount for a group or party who are out for the night. The crispy truffle fries were also the perfect accompaniment: a salty, truffle flavour topped with delicate shavings of parmesan cheese. We opted put of dessert but the price also includes some delicious sounding sweet treats including a chocolate pizetta to share, ice cream and a chocolate fondant with honeycomb and vanilla ice cream. Enough said.
The staff and service at Neighbourhood Liverpool were faultless, always ensuring that our glasses were never empty before, during and after our food. At £30 per person, the #NOTGOINGHOME experience at Neighbourhood definitely comes recommended, particularly if you have a special occasion or party planned, its super hospitable, the drinks are flowing, the food is delicious, the interior is amazing and the location is central – what more could you want?!
