Set in the charming village of Newburgh, West Lancashire, Eden Tearoom and Galleries is a wonderful place for afternoon tea, a spot of lunch, and a clay pottery workshop. With elegant glass teapots and hourglass sand timers to brew your tea to perfection, Eden Tearoom really is a sanctuary for anyone searching for a luxurious way to spend a couple of hours away from the city.
Park for free on-site and head up the stairs to the tearoom, which is very welcoming with an airy and spacious feel. While you’ll be impressed by the elegant interiors, it’s the cake selection that you’ll find difficult to take your eyes off!
Tea For Two Anyone?
To start, we ordered a black Americano, a pot of French Earl Grey and Green Rose, which were all served in golden floral glass teapots and matching teacups. It was as if we were at a royal tea party. Oh, and if you love the style of Eden Tearoom and Galleries, you’ll be glad to know that you can even hire out the space for private events and even weddings.
With a wide selection of food available, we decided to order the Eden Buddha plate, which was fresh and spicy, and the seabass, beautifully presented with a side of crisps and salad.

Book A Clay Pottery Workshop
After a slice of carrot cake and a pot of tea, head downstairs to the gallery and take in the stunning artwork on display, before getting hands-on with clay on your very own pottery wheel. This is the first place we’ve ever come across that offers this creative and unique experience, and we had such a wonderful time. The perfect activity for a rainy day, and ideal for any age.
