Beauty & Lifestyle Event at The Clubhouse

To get the Unlock Liverpool team in the mood for the British Style Collective weekend, we headed to The Clubhouse in Liverpool One for their Beauty and Lifestyle event. With a cocktail in hand, we were treated to a number of beauty treatments and able to find out a bit more about what Liverpool has in store for girls who love to pamper themselves. After all, you’re never too young to look after your skin.

The Clubhouse’s Beauty and Lifestyle event was held in the cute greenhouse corridor at the side on the restaurant, and the evening sun kept us in the holiday mood throughout the event.

Swanky Malone

Among a number of stands, Swanky Malone, who have a 1950s style salon on Jamaica Street in Liverpool, within a short walk from Liverpool One and The Baltic Triangle treated myself and fellow blogger and hair sensation, Stephi La Reine to makeover involving some serious curls and waves.

The 1950s is renowned for being an era of beauty, glamour with slicked back hair and precision bangs and waves. Within a couple of minutes, the 3-piece suit stylist had completely transformed my GHD straightened hair into what can only be described as volume and Va Va Voom.

It’s so easy to forget how important it is to take care of your hair and make that extra effort. As you can see it really does make a difference to your overall outfit.

Tattoo Inspired Silver

Like the magpie that I am, the stall that caught my attention as soon as we walked into The Clubhouse was a tattoo inspired silver jewellers who can custom make pieces that have first been hand sketched as tattoos.

Gary Carter’s quest for perfection means that each element in the collection has been made with care, attention and creativity. The sheer talent and attention to detail that goes into a tattoo design can be seen in the intricate detail of the pieces.  CarterGore jewellery presented their Tattoo Candy collection at The Clubhouse’s Beauty and Lifestyle event, and we were seriously impressed. From classic sugar skulls to Taxes longhorns, the stunning collection can be found online: CarterGore

Oils of Youth

Skin care is high on my list of priorities. There is nothing more that excites me that a new rejuvenating oil or a self-warming face mask that guarantees radiance. So of course, I had to find out more about CJ in the City.

Based just off Duke Street, the salon had a range of Medik8 biotechnology products on offer including an antioxidant serum that helps minimise the visible signs of skin ageing. I’ve been lovingly applying it as part of my morning skincare routine ever since and yes, I am make-up free right now and feel fabulous.

The salon off Duke St is well worth a visit and offers both beauty and anti-aging treatments as well as lip filler and Botox.
