Pier Head Village in Liverpool
Unlock Liverpool went down to The Pier Head Village to check out what’s going on in Liverpool for Kids this summer.
On Liverpool’s iconic waterfront, a few meters from the three Graces and surrounding one of Liverpool’s finest Thai restaurants, Matou, you will find the incredible Pier Head Village which has only just opened and is already a hit with Liverpool foodies, tourists, and families.
With an array of cute wooden huts serving food, drinks, and irresistible sweet treats to satisfy your sweet tooth, The Pier Head Village has got everything you could possibly want for a magical day out with the kids and did we mention that is it FREE entry. After allowing your kids to get their little mitts on a handful of gummy bears and marshmallows from the pick and mix confectionery stand, you can reward yourself with a cheeky salted caramel brownie from the Skipton Chocolate Box stand, but be warned they’re super sticky and indulgent so mind that beach body of yours.
After this, test your fear of heights with a thrilling ride on one of Europe’s tallest adrenaline junkie rides such as the Sky Flier and the 60m Booster or if you’re really brave, the 60m Tower which is said to set pulses racing. Not much of a thrill seeker? You can always chill out at the Sound City bar and take in the atmosphere while you sip a chilled glass of Prosecco.
One of the most important factors in taking the kids out for a family fun day in Liverpool is, let’s be honest, how quickly can you tire them out and The Pier Head Village can certainly help you out. The Village Bounce Activity Centre and Inflatable Village has been designed to physically challenge your little ones and absorb those hyperactive tendencies leaving them pretty tired and in need of a well-earned rest.
