Ex Directory Liverpool is back, after being taken over by a local Liverpool family. With an exclusive new cocktail menu, sophisticated interiors and a fantastic team, Unlock Liverpool take a closer look at the relaunch of this Liverpool cocktail bar.
Ex Directory Liverpool can be found by locating the iconic red phone box, on Vernon Street in Liverpool. Within a short walk from Moorfields Station and a stone’s throw away from Liverpool’s business district, it is perfectly placed for drinks after work or a starting point for a big night out in the city. Once you’ve found the phone box make sure to snap a picture and tag the bar on Instagram @ex_directory.
As a secret Liverpool bar, you’ll have to pick up the phone and ring to be granted access but once inside you’ll understand why. With classic, signature and sharing cocktail menus there is plenty to choose from and each drink has been expertly blended with premium spirits.
We loved Hotline Bling which came served with Ex-Directory’s logo as garnish which floated beautifully teasing you to take a sip. The bar’s twist on the classic Old Fashioned is the Smoke in the City which is a mix of Buffalo trace bourbon and homemade cigar syrup.
There are a few cocktails on the menu that are extremely creative such as the Put a Ring On It, which is served in a classic kid’s milk bottle with amaretto and a ring doughnut. This tastes amazing and looks so playful it’s hard to keep your hands off it!
With a fantastic re-launch we’re sure Ex Directory Liverpool has made their mark on the Liverpool bar scene.
