Inspired by the traditional trade routes for silk, this Liverpool restaurant has designed a menu that incorporates exotic flavours, tapas and meze. Expect mouthfuls of delicious and beautifully seasoned food from the Middle East to the Pacific of East China.

We attended a networking event for Liverpool food bloggers which introduced us to the tapas menu and Silk Road’s fantastic collection of botanical gin. Each flavour of gin has also been chosen based on the concept of the silk road trading route which means the cocktails pair with the dishes perfectly.

With views of the Royal Liver Building, this Liverpool restaurant offers a relaxed dining experience and exceptional front of house team who will do everything they can to provide their expertise on the menu as well as provide recommendations for the perfect gin cocktail.

We had the pleasure of trying a variety of sharing plates including meat, fish and seafood tapas which were all well presented and tasted amazing.

From Turkish meatballs, potatas bravas, crab croquettes and the classic Silk Rd Platter, we couldn’t get enough of the food at Silk Road Liverpool. You can taste the passion that the team has for each dish, with every mouthful.

When you thought dessert couldn’t possibly be in tapas form, we give you banana fritters with ice cream. This is what dreams are made from.
