September has gotten off to a flying start thanks to Fusion Festival . On Saturday the 2nd of September thousands of Liverpool festival goers, of all ages, headed down to Otterspool Promenade in South Liverpool, for two days of incredible live music, entertainment and fairground rides. Despite the dodgy weather that we’ve been experiencing over the past couple of weeks, the sun came out to celebrate Liverpool’s passion for music and Unlock Liverpool were there to capture it all on film.
Fusion Festival attracted thousands of families, couples and friends from in and around the North West, to Otterspool Promenade for several hours of live music. With plenty of food stalls to choose from and a good handful of coffee stands to keep your caffeine fix at bay, not to mention the number of bars available, there was no excuse to go home early, especially as headliners, Little Mix were only a couple of hours away . The atmosphere during Fusion Festival was simply brilliant. Families were on top form, with little ones running around in wellies, and their parents enjoying the late summer sun, donning beards and body glitter.
Yet despite the hype around the UK’s biggest girl group at the moment, the Unlock Liverpool team were struck by the laid back talent of Naught Boy who performed a number of his hits followed by the one and only Tinie Tempah- who quickly woke up the majority of younger festival goers who were drifting off to sleep at around 9:30pm, as they waited for Little Mix to start.
Drink in hand, there was no shying away from dancing, as practically the whole crowd came to life as Little Mix finally appeared.
Fusion Festival we certainly hope that you return next year as we’ll be one of the first to be signing up for tickets! What an incredible way to end the summer on a high.
