Liverpool’s Pier Head Village is back! And if you don’t know what that is, I can guarantee you’ll want to! The Pier Head Village in Liverpool promises to be “a summer festival to remember!”. Enjoy thrill rides, fun attractions, fabulous bars, a Beach Club & Urban Beach, shopping, Liverpool Art Fair & Gallery, village food court and much more.
If you’re from a family with a diverse range of ages and opinions of what constitutes a good family day out in Liverpool, the Pier Head Village is the ideal place to while away the hours this summer, with a bit of something for everyone. For the little adventurers there are some rides such as the carousel swings or a little helter-skelter slide. For our middle size adventurers, the perfect way to burn off some energy from all the candy floss and traditional carnival sweets, is to head to the inflatable obstacle course (little and big kids welcome to face the challenge!).
Thrill seekers with nerves of steel will be spoilt for choice with the selection of white knuckle rides – swinging sky high above the River Mersey, but this certainly isn’t for the faint of heart!
If you’ve got a food fanatic in your tribe, they wont know where to turn. There’s traditional seaside fare in the form of fish and chips, a beautiful French pastry and doughnut stand, or a cheese fiends dream at the stand of The Great British Cheese Company (offering free tasters FYI). Anyone who is partial to a tipple or two will be able to whet their whistle at the Gin Garden or Bavarain Beer Bar.
My favourite activity at the Liverpool Pier Head festival has got to be trying to win cute teddies and toys at the traditional carnival game stands, of which there are plenty to choose from. This is the type of place a couple of any age could enjoy a date at, and is an ideal venue for families to visit for the day. Or if you’re just looking for a place to enjoy your lunch, why not hit up the Pier Head Village while you can – it’s only here until the 9th of September (open 7 days a week 11-11!).
