Liverpool Lockdown Date Night Experience
Have you been cooped up with your partner 24/7? Or perhaps you haven’t seen each other as much in lockdown? Either way, we have put together the ultimate date night guaranteed to get the spark back in your relationship.
Have a night away and a candlelit dinner, with Gino D’Acampo and the Glamping Group
Ok, so we know we can’t really go out for dinner and Glastonbury has just been cancelled, so if you’re fed up of sitting in front of the TV and miss the festival experience why not create your own in the garden?
We hired The Date Night tent from The Glamping Group, ordered a Gino D’Acampo takeaway for dinner with a Gift And Graze dessert for afters. (and of course, a bottle of wine). Not our usual Glastonbury experience but its date night after all.
If you are like us and still have a bit of anxiety over Covid-19, you needn’t worry as this company put our minds at ease. They showed up wearing protective equipment, kept their distance, and sanitized the tent. From beginning to end this company went above and beyond to meet our expectations.
To make our experience extra special, we decided to hire some optional extras and we are so glad we did. The Glamping Group has a range of optional extras to choose from (check their website for extras and prices). We opted for the fire pit with logs to roast our marshmallows. We had a night full of laughter and truly forgot that we were in the garden. After a delicious dinner by the fire, we put some music on had a boogie, got our old school Monopoly out, and talked for hours underneath the stars before closing the tent up and watching our favourite show with a bottle of Chardonnay.
Prices start from £120 for one night and an extra £80 for each additional night.
Our Gino D’Acampo delivery driver showed up suited and booted and our food was ready to be served. (So, no sweating or swearing in the kitchen). We went all out and ordered the Capricciosa & Moretti pizza, Linguini with lobster, Fettuccine Bolognese and Lasagne. The meals were absolutely scrumptious and you could taste the freshness from the first bite.
The lobster was tender and complimented the spaghetti in a white wine sauce perfectly, the Bolognese was traditional and delicious and reminded us of the time we visited Rome, The lasagne was cooked with a Basil pesto and although we had never tasted it cooked this way before we truly enjoyed it. And finally, the pizza was not your usual ham and cheese it tasted so delightful as though it had been cooked on a wooden stove, the flavours were enhanced and the mushrooms were cooked to perfection.
To make our night extra special, I surprised my partner with a gift and graze treat box for dessert, and a bottle of Tempus Two Wilde Chardonnay, and a bottle of guilt free McGuigan Zero Chardonnay, both you can easily order only and delivered to your door.
When it comes to gift and gaze, you can choose from savoury or sweet treats but of course, we chose sweet. The company delivered the box straight to our door with no contact and made it extra special for us. We had chocolate covered strawberries and tray bakes and washed them down with some more chardonnay from McGuigan Wines.
