Last week Unlock Liverpool were invited to sample the Spring Age Defy Pro-Collagen Spa Day at Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel & Spa in Chester. Perfect as a mother and daughter treat or for a couple looking to escape to the countryside and be pampered, this is the perfect spa day.
With full access to the spa’s facilities you can drift from their relaxation room and rose garden to their thermal suite. During the summer, you can even sunbath outside and spend some quality time together without any interruptions from the buzz of technology. If you’re too hot, why not head back in to the thermal suite where you can cool down with fresh ice.
After an hour in the Aroma steam room and a quick foot spa, we headed to the café area for lunch. We were treated to a cream cheese and salmon bagel and a tomato and goats cheese salad, followed by a slice of chocolate cake.
If you feel the need to burn off some steam after lunch, head to their fitness studio which is equipped with state of the art Technogym equipment or take a dip in the 18 metre heated indoor pool. When it is time for your Elemis Pro-Collagen Age Defy Facial, simply head to the Chesterfield sofas and take a seat while you wait for a therapist to greet you.
This rejuvenating 55 minute treatment is one of the best we’ve ever had and includes a face, neck and décolletage massage, as well as a hydrogel eye mask and head massage.
