Standing tall on the Liverpool waterfront, Malmaison in Liverpool invited us along to sample their new menu and people it was delicious!
We’ve always enjoyed dining at the Malmaison as it has a very intimate dining experience with dark décor and low-lit lighting, it not only beckons you in from the often windy dock, but also puts you at ease and able to enjoy the company you’re with and almost forget where you are. Not many restaurants in Liverpool are able to achieve this type of atmosphere so well! Starting with a racehorse inspired cocktail, we began our journey through the Malmaison’s new menu.
Fresh muscles, succulent duck and an afternoon tea inspired dessert, we certainly enjoyed tasting the many dishes on offer. Our favourite had to be the colossal stacked burger which was served with a side of French fries.
Each course came with its own perfectly paired wine which was recommended to bring out the delicate flavours of the dish.
After a meal, the Malmaison in Liverpool offers a place to relax and finish off your bottle of wine in a more comfortable environment and next to the open fire. Dancing in front of the hotel’s reception, it is a perfect place to wait for your taxi home and really ends the night with you feeling warm and satisfied.
