A Delicious Way to Give Back- Give Kitchen in Liverpool

A couple of people have recommended that I head down to Brunswick dock in Liverpool to try out a fresh new restaurant called Give Kitchen. So this week, I decided to check it out!

Give Kitchen is based on the concept of preparing and serving delicious super healthy meals and for every organic dish you indulge in, they give a homeless person, either in the UK or overseas, a free meal, hence the name. This is definitely a cause worth supporting and something quite close to my heart.

The restaurant itself is somewhere you wouldn’t just drive-past and say ‘Hey, that place looks cool!’, in fact, it is quite hidden away. If you know how to get to Delifonseca , you’ll find this little gem behind the big offices. My directions aren’t perfect so here is their exact location.

Once inside, it’s super clean, airy and has a very green and organic theme, which really reflects their whole concept well.

Diner Tip: Head upstairs, where you will find additional seating for a cosier setting.

Their menu is very interesting with lots to try, some things I have never seen on a menu in Liverpool before. I would recommend trying the Roasted cauliflower & beetroot baba ghanoush salad with cashew nut tabbouleh with a side of Give Hummus that is served with bread and carrot and cucumber sticks. My companion opted for the Falafels, preserved lemon and apricot pearl cous cous wrap, pomegranate tahini which was zesty and delicious.

For dessert, I ordered the Matcha & turmeric almond panna cotta, staranise & raspberry coulis, with an Energy Boost Bulletproof coconut coffee, which is made with coconut oil and milk and apparently helps improve brain function and burn fat for up to 24 hours. I’m going to be completely honest here, if you’re looking for a sweet dessert, this one is definitely not for you. It has quite an earthy texture and taste but presented beautifully with edible flowers and raspberry coulis. If you are after something sweet I would recommend the Orange blossom rice pudding, apple and cinnamon compote, maple syrup.

Feeling satisfied, we headed over to their cute organic health shop for a quick browse and picked up a couple of organic treats.

If you’re a gym bunny, health fanatic or want to try something really different and delicious head down to Give Kitchen and help support those less fortune than ourselves. whilst treating your body and soul to some organic goodness.
